Frequently asked questions
How long does a video take to generate?
Median 2-3 minutes end-to-end (script → avatar → captions → b-roll → render). Avatar rendering is the bottleneck — typically 60-180 seconds for a 30-second vertical clip. Everything else runs in parallel.
Can I use a custom avatar?
Custom avatars are on the roadmap. For now, choose from our 1,000+ avatar library — filterable by scene, age range, and accessories. We're adding bring-your-own-likeness for paid plans soon.
What does the per-video cost actually include?
Everything end-to-end: AI script, TTS voice, avatar render with real lip-sync, word-level captions, b-roll selection, and final MP4 stitching at 1080×1920. One subscription, one bill — no per-vendor add-ons.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You have 30 days to download anything. After that, deleting your account from Settings cascades through S3 + our database + Stripe (we keep payment records only for tax purposes). Full sub-processor list at /legal/subprocessors.
Do you offer a DPA / SOC 2?
DPAs are available on request for paid plans. SOC 2 Type II is in progress; we'll publish the report once available.
Can I get a refund?
Within the first 14 days, yes — email support and we'll refund unused credits. After that, unused credits roll over to the next month.
